Cylindrical Magnesium Tank Anode with Pipe Insert

Magnesium hull anode is commonly used for corrosion prevention on steel hull service boats in fresh water such as river boats, canal boats, cruising boats, etc. It is the best choice for fighting corrosion problems caused by stray current or pollution in freshwater. This weld-on magnesium hull anode with pipe insert has a high driving voltage and can be rapidly polarized to protect metal parts under the waterline from corrosion.

Quality Substrate Material
Constructed from high grade magnesium alloy, our magnesium hull anode conforms to meet American standard ASTM B843 – AZ63C.

Element Contnet
Aluminum (Al) 5.3% ~ 6.7%
Manganese (Mn) 0.15% ~0.7%
Zinc (Zn) 2.5% ~3.5%
Silicon (Si) 0.1% max.
Copper (Cu) 0.02% max.

Custom-made Electro-potential Options
Our magnesium hull anode is normally pressure diecasted with H-1 alloy for standard potential of -1.55 volts relative to saturated calomel electrode(SCE). High potential magnesium anode is available upon request.

Technical Measurement Performance
Open Circuit Potential (-V) 1.5 ~ 1.55
Close Circuit Potential (-V) 1.45 ~ 1.5
Min. Current Capacity 550 A.h/lbs (1230 A.h/kg)
Current Efficiency 55% min.

Optional Plastisol Coating
Magnesium hull anode is available as either bare or plastisol coated. The plastisol (polyvinyl chloride) coating on the sides, ends, and faying surfaces serves as an excellent current barrier shield —— designed to be cut away from the anode as needed for adjusting surface area contact and current output.

Strict Quality Control
By conforming to ISO 9001:2015 standards, our magnesium hull anode is manufactured, inspected, and tested in accordance with stringent procedures to ensure high quality.

Customized Configurations
All weights and dimensions are subject to normal variations in material densities. A range of standard magnesium anodes are illustrated above, custom-made configurations are available upon request.
