Zinc Ribbon Anodes

A sacrificial zinc anode is used within cathodic protection systems where metals that are exposed, submerged or buried makes them vulnerable to the elements and must be protected.   Their excellent properties include their low maintenance requirements and cost-effectiveness.  They can cope with extremely low temperatures.  We provide sacrificial zinc anodes as zinc ribbon anodes and offer installation as part of our service. 

Extruded from special high-grade zinc (SHG) 99.995% raw material, a Jennings Anodes’ sacrificial zinc anode essentially delivers high performance and over 90% current efficiency, which meet the highest industrial standards. A sacrificial zinc ribbon anode provides a cost effective and non-maintenance approach to cathodic protection for buried or immersed metallic structures under unattended cases in confined or limited space. It’s an ideal cathodic protection system for well coated steel pipeline with low current requirement and Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP). And it is also suited for cathodic protection for the interior and exterior of aboveground storage tanks. 

Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP) are widely used for water mains and wastewater line, consisting of a concrete core, a thin steel cylinder, high tensile prestressing wires and a mortar coating. Zinc ribbon anode is installed to prevent pre-stressed wires and steel cylinder from corrosion.
