Overview

The role of our Sales and Business Development Manager is to generate sales and increase sales by understanding the requirements of potential customers, nurturing this, listening to their needs then providing the technical solutions and products that they need. The successful candidate will develop long-lasting relationships with customers and will bring new product opportunities to the company based on the customer’s needs. The candidate will have knowledge of the cathodic protection industry, but is not expected to have in-depth knowledge of the whole range of anodes and products that we can provide. The candidate will work closely with our executive team to develop, implement, and maintain marketing strategies that help drive sales and ensure the long-term development of our company. Salary

Base Pay: $76,578 ~ $85,550 / year
Supplemental Pay: Sales Commission

Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development Manager will be directly responsible for select clients and geographical markets. Able to build business relationships with potential customers and promote and sell Jennings Anodes products to expand the business, driving sales to reach the profitable growth.

  • Implement general sales and marketing strategy.
  • Set achievable sales targets and develop strategies to meet those goals.
  • Monitor sales performance against the targets set and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Network and maintain client relationships; explore business possibilities to achieve assigned quarterly/annual sales quota and generate sales growth.
  • Manage the sales lifecycle from inquiry to delivery, including quote/proposal preparation, sales process, after sales, status update etc.
  • Attend conference and shows.
  • Manage sales budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenses and revenue.
  • Timely submit sales reports and reimburse the expense.
  • Collaborate with other department, such as marketing and customer service to ensure a successful sale process.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organized individual who has a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with customers and generating direct sales.

  • 3+ years of proven sales experience in the Cathodic Protection industry or 4+ years of technical sales experience
  • Cathodic Protection Certification highly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivation
  • A Road Warrior mentality – loves to travel, visit clients, pitch prospective customers, attend workshops, conferences, exhibitions, training, etc.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and PDF

License / Certification

  • Cathodic Protection Certificate (Preferred)
  • Driver’s License (Required)
