Polymer Flexible Anode

This continuous cable-like anode is an integrated auxiliary anode composed of a copper wire and a conductive polymer sheath. The copper core serves as a low resistance bus bar to deliver the required current over considerable distance without incurring substantial longitudinal voltage drop. And the extruded polymer layer seals the copper wire from chemical attack.

Prepackaged in a porous, non-woven fabric “sock” that contains high conductivity calcined petroleum coke breeze, it enhances the abrasion and damage resistance. The anode is generally located in close proximity to the structure to be protected, and provides uniform cathodic protection current to the entire structure. It is ideal for use in all kind of soil, especially well suited the environment where the resistivity is high or various.

APPLICATIONS

Our polymer flexible anode can be easily field cut to appropriate lengths and be installed by laying it in a hand- or machine-dug trench or cable plowing. It is generally located in close proximity to the structure to be protected, and provides uniform cathodic protection current to the entire structure. It is ideal for use in all kind of soil, especially well suited the environment where the resistivity is high or various and where there are risks for interference with secondary structures.
